As the day approaches, a lot of people have questions to ask about the plans for the weekend.
For those able to get online, we've tried to answer most of them here...
After the wedding I am planning to display some of the more amusing photographs on this page.
The same goes for the Stag Weekend so watch out lads!

We are going to have an informal garden party for anyone who wishes to join us. This really will be very informal - those attending are likely to get roped into making sandwiches or helping Dan with the barbeque.
Kick-off likely to be early afternoon - about 1pm.

Finding somewhere to stay in Canterbury...

For those who have to travel to Canterbury, we have compiled a list to help with finding accommodation for the weekend. The Chaucer Hotel itself is offering discounts to wedding guests on twelve of their rooms, with further accommodation available at standard rates.

If you prefer to stay elsewhere, the guest houses listed are all within walking distance of the hotel. The Red Lion is listed because some people expressed an interest after our engagement party was held there last October. It is lovely, but involves a taxi ride of four miles from Canterbury.

If you have difficulties finding somewhere to stay, please contact us, as I will probably have finished the garden shed by July...

Directions

How to get to Eastwell Manor

Map showing Eastwell Manor

From the M20
Turn off at Junction 9 (Ashford).
Follow signs for A28 to Canterbury.
After about half a mile on the A28, turn left onto the A251 north towards Faversham.
Boughton Lees is a tiny village about 2 miles further on.
The gateway to Eastwell Park is on the left as you enter the village.

From Canterbury
From Wincheap roundabout take the A28 out of Canterbury towards Ashford.
After about 12 miles, turn right at a crossroads onto a lane signposted Boughton Lees. (The left-hand turning will be signposted to Wye.)
Take the first left onto a short road with the village green on the right, which joins the A251 after about 100 yards.
Turn left onto the A251.
Eastwell Manor entrance is on the right, almost opposite the turning.

How to get to The Chaucer Hotel

Map of Canterbury Centre

On the ring road in Canterbury...
Go to the St Georges Place roundabout (by the cinema, and top of the High Street). Turn onto St Georges Place (right if coming from London or Eastwell Manor). Immediately after the roundabout there is a turning on the left into the Chaucer Hotel car park. It is quite easy to miss!
If you do miss the turning, after about 100 yards, turn left at the first traffic lights onto Lower Chantry Lane. Ivy Lane is 50 yards along on the left, just past the Safeway exit and just before the car park. The Chaucer Hotel is at the end of Ivy Lane.
